Deanery Prayer Walk
Bishop Paul Visits Monkwearmouth
As part of this year's Deanery Prayer walk Bishop Paul visited the Parish of Monkwearmouth.
The day started with a prayer breakfast at St Peter's in Bede's Bakehouse and ended with the Confirmation service at St Peter's in the evening. Throughout Bishop Paul's time in the parish he walked along the river side, visited the glass centre, walked along the beach, prayed the midday office at St Andrews, had a QandA lunch at All Saints and took home communion to one of our residents.
Bishop Paul handed out many prayer cards, spoke to lots of different people and prayed over our parish as he went. It was truly a wonderful day and we thank all who took part.
A special thanks to Ann in Bede's bakehouse who provided all our food which was wonderful!
